The stock fan is dead, and I run the A/C on all the time so I would think the full size fan should cover me for the A/C and engine cooling, right? Any other opinions?

I'm using the taurus fan for both jobs. when the a/c is on the fan runs and if the a/c isn't on it will run on high or low depending on the temperature I have my controller set to.

What did you use to connect the Taurus fan to the dodge wiring harness? Splice the old connector back into the new fan?

they didn't add the e-fan until 2000 so I never had one.

How about the mounting of the Taurus fan? Does it come with a kit or did you have to come up with your own mounting system?

Can anyone who has replaced their stock fan recommend a universal mounting kit for the Taurus electric fan? My fan came in but I haven't had time to do anything with it yet. I see quite a few options for universal mounts when googleling, but if anyone has had a good experience with a particular one, I'd appreciate the advice.

I know of some ones made by be-cool that are available on summit racing, but they're nearly $80, which is absolutely ridiculous. Right now I'm just using some cheapo plastic ones I had laying around. Eventually I'm just going to fab up my own mounts.

Well mine keeps my temp in the 180s while idling in traffic, with the a/c on, in the 110+ SC heat and humidity, so I think you'd be fine with the hills and rocks.

The thing I wouldn't be sure about is the water. Obviously the motor is water resistant, but as for being submersible that's another thing entirely. I don't know how deep of water you drive through, but the deepest water I've been through was only partly up my bumper.

Deepest I've gone so far was about half way up my doors and stopped because I didn't want to soak my PCM. I already extended all my breather hoses and my intake is good for deep water. My only concern is the electric motor in the fan and if the fan can still spin with resistance from water.
