Master Tech I can start and drive mine for a while before everything on my dash stops working (all gauges stop working) then I get no bus will appear where the odometer is. After about ten min it will start back up. It happened to me as I was pulling into the garage. They put it on the machine and found no codes. Once we shut the key off it didn't read no bus. Since then I found out how to find the codes on my own. Still not throwing any codes. Not sure what sensors you said about disconnecting. Could you shoot me a line explaining what/which sensors. Thanks

I've read you can look for bubbling in the potting that may indicate a component has fried.
2002 MY trucks only had the 4.7 or the 5.9 available, the hemi is the 5.7 and was not available, also the way that the PCM is designed if you open the case you will damage the board or the traces not worth the risk IMO, if you are replacing it and want to open it to confirm that is fine, but once you open it there is a 90% chance you will have to replace the board. (this is based on reports from other users not personal experience)

The Bus circuit use's a +2.5 and -2.5 volts for communcations, anytime the voltage changes above 3.0 volts you will start to see the no bus message. There are many ways of loosing the bus circuit. The most common has been a crank sensor. But the PCM,radio, overhead console, heater control head, CTM, or any sensors thats on the circuit. I have also seen pins pushed out of the PCM connector cause a no bus message. I would also remove the kick panels on both side in the front and check the ground wires. That could also cause some problems too.

Ok so I did as Master Tech said and when the no bus showed up I started disconnecting sensors. When I got to the crank (which I already replaced) the odometer came back on and my D started right back up.

well, it looks like you found the culprit, while uncommon getting a bad sensor out of the box is very possible

I didn't take anything out of the fuse or relay boxes. I started disconnecting wires under the hood. Id do one look at the dash put and it back together untill the no buse went away (I got lucky 2nd one).

I am having sensor issues on my Durango also. Seems that the PCM will not throw a code unless the sensor is completely dead. If it is partially working, it will not throw a code.

Guess I haven't checked on here in a while. Well since the initial problem, I obtained the service manual and looked at the electrical schematics for the sensors that feed into the PCM. I checked voltage on the TPS, Crank Shaft and Cam Shaft position sensors as well as the relays and all seemed to be o.k. Everything started pointing more and more toward the computer (PCM) so ordered a refurb, installed it and the Durango fired up! So back in business. Kinda disappointing that the computer gave out after only 60K miles on the vehicle!
