Default holy crap i made a huge mistake!

For the last 5 years i have been buying pays for a 5.2. I just found out i actually have a 5.9!!!! Im ashamed of myself.. I have replaced my water pump, radiator, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor off the top of my head. Any one know if all of these are interchangeable between the 5.2 and 5.9?

Those all should be the same, if not I'm sure you'd notice problems.

Both the 5.9 and a 5.2 are basically the same engine the only difference being that the 5.9 engine has more displacement

most of the externally accessible parts are compatible between the two engines so you are find however may want to pay closer attention in the future.

All the replaced parts are also the same on the 3.9 V6 with the exception of the dist cap and plug wires in which case will only be 6 instead of 8. You're fine.

Balancer is totally different between the two. Transmission is different between the two. PCM is different IIRC. Otherwise, mainly comparable from there out.

Heh, sounds like me. Replaced front brake pads and one rotor last week. Just realized out of the blue yesterday that I had asked for parts for a 98. My old white D was a 98, but these brakes went on our 99. Oops!

Logged onto Autozone's web site, looked up the parts for each vehicle, and they're the same part number.

Much relieved. At least this is one dumb mistake that I won't have to confess to the wife! Oh yeah, kinda relieved that my brakes will continue functioning to, I guess.
