I just wanted to corroborate.

I made this video, it has the same type of clicking described in the first thread. Everything else looks fine but then I checked my front DS


I found this other video. Sounds exactly like this.

Ya. I had the same problem. Once you take it off you'll see that cv joint on the front driveshaft is probably all rusted out and full of dirt. I know mine was. It took me forever to figure out what the noise was. Mine sounded more like keys jangling, though.
It was a little bit frustrating to get the front shaft off because when you try to turn the bolts the shaft wants to rotate. I remember the bolts being real tight. I still haven't put a new shaft on yet. Probably ought to before winter though.
