22 months ago, after a 2042 mile drive from Poughkeepsie, NY to my new home in Albuquerque, NM. The '93 Jeep is paint code PR4 too!

Nope. My R/T came with the OEM towing package, 3.92 gears, and a 7,300 lbs rating.

Towing a AWD/4wd with wheels on the ground is a bad idea, but towing with an AWD is no problem. Maybe you got those confused?

Nope. I got turned down by Uhaul for a small trailer because the vehicle I has was AWD. I guess I didn't really look into it much.

My son worked for u-haul for 5 yrs as a route manager (cust svc rep, general issue solver). They are incredibly conservative on their rules. If one guy/car had a problem they thought was awd related, poof, a blanket rule is born. They are definitely not the best source for what you can and can't do. I bet that small trailer would have had stickers saying the max recommended speed is 45mph.
