Nope. I got turned down by Uhaul for a small trailer because the vehicle I has was AWD. I guess I didn't really look into it much.
a few years ago when i still had my 3/4 ton Silverado, the wife's Neon had some issues that it needed towed home... Rather that paying 200+ to have it towed 40 miles home, i went to U-haul and tried to rent a auto transport trailer.. they turned me down saying that my truck was not heavy duty enough to handle it! never tried to rent from them again....
Thats right!!! I am trying to build up our 98 dodge 5.2 4x4 for some good fun up in utah!!! where in utah?

That's weird, I had no problem renting a dolly to tow my mom's VW across town to a garage (long story), and before that my parents rented one from them, again with my Durango, to tow my mom's old PT Cruiser from Pittsburgh to SC.
a flatbed trailer that allows the whole vehicle to be supported on it poses ALOT more weight than a tow dolly that only raises one set of wheels letting most of the weight fall on the tow vehicle itself... either way a truck with a tow rating of around 8,000 LBS should have been more than enough to handle either one..
missed the flatbed part, but I don't understand how they'd turn down a 3/4 ton as not being heavy duty. I guess Uhaul is just a bunch of morons anymore.
