Default Starter bolts; can't get leverage. ('98 5.2)

I can see both bolts, top and bottom. I can get a wrench on them. I can get a socket on them.
What I can't seem to do is find a way to get any leverage on them.
Too much play in the ratchet. I'd like to lever against the frame, but the brake lines are right there.
I've read Hydrashocker's starter thread ( https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen-durango/187021-starter-diy-5-9l-and-5-2l.html ) but I can't seem to find an approach angle with any room to work. I'm thinking an air ratchet is in my near future.
Ok, mostly I'm just venting, but I'd love to hear any pointers you all have. Thanks.

get a wrench on them and use a piece of rope to get the extra force you need, if you have any room to move the wrench around the axis of the bolt you should be able to pull on it harder with the rope than you can while contorted underneath

I guess I was lucky that I didn't have any problems getting the bolts off on mine when I replaced it last year. I just pulled out the plastic fender-well liner to get access and then stuck a wrench on it.

Just to follow up, I decided to use a brain cell. Next time it wouldn't start, I used a test light and found no voltage reaching the starter. On to the neutral switch... Thanks.

Here is what i use on the starter bolts. Its a half-moon combo wrench 5/8-11/16. They are also in 1/2-9/16 and 3/8-7/16. You can get them off any tool dealer or maybe a hardware store.

Sorry my DIY didn't yield your fix, however I didn't understand your exact issue because I had plenty of room, surely it's tight, but I got-r-done with the DIY, so I don't understand your issue as stated?
