Another dumb question guys, but I've had my flowmaster original 40 series on for about a month, and I noticed that past 2000 rpm it gets quiter. Now I know it's the 4.7 so it isn't going to be real loud. But at 2000 it sounds real nice, after that in the cabin it starts to get quieter and at about 3200 sounds stock. Does it sound different outside? I'm just curious what's going on, thanks guys
I have a flow master 40 on my 5.9 d and a straight pipe where the muffler used to be on my 4.7 dak. The d does get quieter at higher rpms but my dak stays loud at any rpm. At idle the d is deeper and throatier though.
The old saying is "There is no replacement for displacement!" 406 small block Chevy only because the 454 weighs in 300-400 pounds more. Besides I can't keep My pickup straight even with posi-trac. Now If I could drop a 440 Magnium in the Durango I would gladly ditch the 318. Or the 392 Hemi.
