Possible fuel pump issue but not sure

I dropped my spare tire and you can get at the hose clamps very easy with it out of the way.Tank is out and in the garage waiting on the pump to be removed.whats the best pump brand to use.

I used Airtex, the cheapo one from RockAuto.

how doesthe metal ring come off the fuel pump?I tryed apping it counter clock wases and the other way to didn't move.I nave to order the hose for the fill and vent.
