Default Wiring for trailer hitch.

I'm going to be getting a trailer hitch for my truck, but I can't find the plug for the wiring harness anywhere up under the truck at the back, I know they didn't all come with it, and I suspect mine doesn't. What do I do? Is there a way to add the factory pre-wire plug?

Thanks, looks like I need one of those T connector wiring harness kits for the tail lights and run some wires to the front, wish mine did have the pre-wire connector though!

I was googling for some kits and found several posts about this on this forum that the search feature didn't show me... I've never had any luck trying to use that thing, it either shows nothing or some post or 2 barely related to my search keywords. At any rate, planning on taking your advice in this post if a little more searching doesn't find a plug already there for it.

Don't know if you checked yet, but I didn't think mine had a plug for a trailer but it was in the jack storage area.

I Searched every inch if the back of mine including the jack location and could not find one on mine so i ended up picking up an roll of trailer wire and spliced in the wires to the the correct location then ran all the wires into trailer plug.. i also ran all the wires for the trailer brake (i highly advise) even thou i have yet to install the unit.
