i have a 99 durango slt 5.2l v8 110,000 miles... it has been using oil for a little while,,, i was going to do a valve job on it,, but i was told to just replace the intake gaskets,,, does this sound right?? is it a common problem?
Yes the intake plenum gasket blowing out is very common. Pull the air hat off and look down the throttle body. If its blown you should see oil or even in some cases the blowout its self.
