ok it has sunk in im gonna have to take this thing off, 1st time ever dickin with a gas tank & im to the point I cant afford the mechanic to figure it out for me,

What do I do to figure out what the problem is after its down?, how do i figure out whats causing the flow problem? I still havnt been able to pinpoint exactly what it is im looking for but Ive heard a few different things.

I read something about a flawed check valve thats in the tank, if thats the case where do I go from there? entire new gas tank?

Every time I've pulled a tank in a vehicle it has always worked out for the best, especially a 14 yr old one such as yours. The rusted bolts break off and you get to put in nice new ones, and you get to clean out years of crap/dirt, you get to replace any rotted hoses, and generally rebuild the installation nice and new. Since your D runs fine, and is just a PITA to fill, wait until it's near empty (lighter weight) and go for it.

I aprreciate the advice but again im not tottaly aware of what im even looking for when i drop this, if im sitting with a dropped tank what do i do to determine why it wont take gas, like how do i determine if somethings not working properly? say the stop valve, or some other valve

I mean should I just buy a whole new tank if I cant determine why it wont take gas

when its 0 degrees outside trust me youll be close to punching out your windows having to deal with this bs & I cant go through winter, another 2+ months dealing with this trickling gas bs
