By default the OD OFF light is suppost to return to on when the key is cycled.. for example, If you where towing and started out on your trip and pressed the button for the OD OFF light to come on and say your 5 miles down the road and decided your getting hungry and decided to stop at the quicky mart to get some grub... when you shut the truck off it is suppost to return to "on" requiring you to press the button again when you start the truck and continue on...

The only exception is it is also programed that if it is excess temp on the trans to shut down the overdrive. I do not know off hand what that temp is but i do know not long after it kicks the OD OFF in the TRANS TEMP light also comes on.

This is a very tricky issue i can see why your going insane with it.. to me it sounds like its grounding out for some reason and giving the computer a false signal that the button was pressed. if it where me i would be tracing where the OD button wires go and make sure all is good. If you installed everything in the kit from cascade you have replaced the trans temp sensor as in is built into the gov. pressure transducer included in the kit.

My thinking is with the constant grounding out maybe the computer is seeing it a a major problem and is setting off the auto shutdown.. IDK keep us posted...

Ok well Im gettin closer to the poblem, it's not my button I tested continuity in it, so it has to do with the circuit, my truck starts with the o/d off light on, it will disappear the moment it's cranking but after that It stays on, it's keeping my truck from passing 40-50mph, I know theirs a shortage somewhere along the circuit, the ****ed up thing is that I have to brake apart cluster and messing with wires under the dash trying to figure out where's the circuit
