A little background on the truck. '99 Durango 5.2 4x4. Just replaced the heater core and found this plug just hanging out by the a/c lines. Anyone have any ideas what it is? Its a 3 wire plug, wires are blue/green*maybe yellow*, white, blue/white. I'm kind of at a loss as to where it goes, so I figured I would come to you guys for help!

Also, not sure if this is related but the truck threw code P0171 after the heater core replacement....not sure if this plug thing is causing it or not.

If you could show a picture of the are that the wire branches off from, that would be a great help.

 

Sounds like a pressure switch pigtail/harness. Not sure if the 5.2 has that.

 

Branches from the pass. side main harness just above the washer fluid tank. Guess I should mention that the harness broke the pigtail off of whatever sensor it connects to.

you have to wait for someone w/ a 5.x to chime in and tell you what it connects to, i dont have access to one to go out and check for you

 

Mine has 2 wires coming out of the main loom there. One goes to the a/c line and the other goes to a connector that then goes into the firewall there with the ac lines.
