Default Photo ad question

Probably a dup post. Sorry in advance. What's up with the ads showing up on top of every photo in a thread? It was every once in a while and now I am getting a Cadillac ad on every photo. Anyone else? Ideas?

The forum isn't free. The ads generate income and clicks, even by accident, earn even more money. All those clicks and traffic add up to positive advertisement.

Trust me, if it didn't work they wouldn't waste the time or money. You may not like it, but I'm sure someone out there was on the fence about buying a Cadillac and when they accidentally clicked the link it turned into revenue for GM.

The price we pay for a free forum with information and interaction with a community of like minded guys. I just ignore them unless I want to see the signature picture and then I just close the ad.

Yeah, it does make sense, but it's still odd seeing an ad for a ferd while you're on a mopar forum.

As long as it's a Big 3 ad, I'm fine with it. Now if I start seeing Honda / Toyota ads I'll feel a little more insulted.

Ram made in Mexico..(at least thats where my 2012 ram came from)

I remember when Chevy was made there too.

And I rolled up in my Titan with people talking shat yet my truck (nissan) actually made here in the united states. And performed circles around chevy/dodge at the time.

..end of the day, don’t let “big” three marketing influence you. Because you’re missing out. And yes, I’ve owned a ford & dodge truck of same time frame to compare apples to apples

It's not as much where they are marketed, but where the profits go. At least the profits from Ford and Chevrolet stay in the USA. Chrysler, for the time being is still in that boat. The Japanese manufacturers, and your example of Nissan...while made here in the USA, the profits go over seas where the corporate headquarters are located.

I like that our American car company profits stay here with us.

I'm not arguing vehicle quality, since it goes both ways in too many categories. I say drive what you like, but too many people are complaining about the faults of our economy yet they drive a car who's profits go to another country's economy instead of ours. I buy American any way I can, so the monies stay here and help our country.

.. so profits (money in the bank) is more important to you than 1,000 jobs in a factory here in the states....

FYI the Titan/Armada/QX56 were all designed, tested, built here in the United Sates. So while the “profits” go over seas, it’s the men and women who design/test/build these products that stimulates the economy.

Sorry.. I’d rather support the guy who built my truck. Not the bank account that is so large it qualifies for back door tax breaks

This whole thread has a narrow focus. It's a world economy and the cash flow is greater than a few car companies. Almost all the clothing is made in Asian countries or some small country in Africa. It's an expansion if what used to be here in the US. PA made steel, MI made cars, mid-america agriculture, etc., and all was good because you lived in the same country. PA didn't care that cars came from another state made with PA steel.

The whole world is the new US and you guys are like the old PA complaning that PA doesn't make cars or grow corn.

Oh, Merry Christmas Eve guys!
