Default please help

hi have a 2001 dodge durango slt with a 4.7 engine 2wd i nide to now the # off mi tranny please help ????????

I think my '98 has a 45RE but there might have been several depending on options. Being a 2x4 it might have been a 42RE. Have you checked your owner's manual?

the 45 was not available in 98, the 4.7 came with the 45rfe or 545rfe, the hardware is the same the only difference was the programming to go with them

also 2-3 hours is not enough time to expect a response, most of us work full time and have personal lives we check in when we have timea nd help when we can be patient and you will get your answer

Sharp is right. 1998 was the 1st year of the Durango, And know in california at that year. The only transmission was offered was the 46RE 4x4. In 1999 the 44RE and 46RE was offered. Then 2000 the engine size was change to either the 4.7 or 5.9. The 4.7 was only offered with the 45RFE and later with software changes to a 545RFE. Type0, send me a pm with your questions on your transmission.
