Default 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 transmission

Hey guys im picking up this 2000 dodge durango for 2800$, real nice suv, it has the 3rd row seats, it also has the 5.9L V8 but its automatic, and i was wondering where i could find a manual transmission for it with that also has 4x4, ive looked around but couldnt really find anything

The Durango's never came with a manual transmission. If you want one you will have to find a Dakota around the same year and do a custom swap. There are a few around that have done it tho.

BTW i seen that same truck posted on our local CL... would you happen to be in PA also?

Yes I live in palmyra pa, the truck is in York I found a couple others but I like this one because it has the 5.9

You will not be able to use the manual tranny from a dakota if you have a 5.9. You will have to do a custom manual tranny install using a manual tranny for the 5.9 that will come from a full size HD ram truck.

A user here did the swap and posted his pics in this forum and enjoyed the use of a manual.

Which tranny is the one that come with the 5.9 HD ram trucks is it the nv3500 or the nv4500 I'm not sure

If I remember, he used the NV3500. do a search in this forum for manual tranny. You should find the post from the user that did the conversion. The pics he posted looked good.
