A/C efan , Aux Fan Pics
As for my E-fan, my OEM radiator was starting to get some hot spots in it so i decided to replace it. i went to rock auto and ordered a radiator for a 2000 that had the OEM fan brackets on it. Then i found a 2k in the junkyard and got the e-fan, shroud, and the whole clutch fan and swapped as needed.
I didn't bother with a fan controller for my E-fan. I just used some relays and diodes to make it come on with the A/C compressor but, there is also a override switch in the cab just in case i would need extra cooling when the A/C is not on.
Yup, that's what i did when i added the compressor switch in the cab. The switch is also lighted and come on and off with the compressor so i know when its working and when its not (at least as far as a electrical signal).

I've been meaning to install a compressor switch in mine too. You wouldn't happen to know what pins on the relay to hook the switch up to, would you?
Sorry for the highjack.
Cant remember the pin # but it was a dark blue wire with a black stripe... i just snipped that one, the end coming from the PDC is hooked up to the "supply" side of the switch and the other is hooked up the the "load" side. I pulled the ground for the switch off the HVAC ground.

Ok, I'll look into that.
I called flex a lite and let them listen to my fan. They believe the fan is the issue and did not have many suggestions on what could be done about the noise. Yesterday i ordered the jeep fan from summit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dcc-cbg4f250 Should be here Saturday.

I finished the install today. I let the truck sit idle for about 45 mins watching the temp, the truck never hit the 210 mark, so i think it will be fine. I have the controller temp setting to the lowest possible settings and it turns the fan on about 10 seconds then powers the fan down for like 2 or 3 minutes then turns the fan back on. The thing really pulls some air.
This is what the termination for the fan looked like, I picked up the female end at the junkyard off a Grand Cherokee

Pic of how I am mounting the wiring

The wiring mounted

And the finished product
