Default 2001 RT 5.9 AWD clunking/slipping when torque applied

When ever I apply any kind of torque whether its pulling away from a light or pulling a trailer the moment any stress is placed on the Durango there is a repeated clunking or slipping sound from under the truck. It gets very bad if switch into 4WD or turning a corner. It doesn't happen if I am real light on the gas and once up to speed its not an issue.

Any Ideas?

You describe it as a "clunking or slipping sound", can you feel it? Or it's just a noise?
