Default Window issue

So the drivers side window just slides up and down. I can hear the motor working a little bit but it doesn't move the window any.

Sounds like the window probably came off it's carrier or something along those lines. You'll have to take off the door panel to see whats going on for sure though.

Took the door panel off. As far as I can tell the window is still on the track. There is a steel cable that seems to be connected to the motor and the window just seems to be flopping around loose

Depending on the price of a used regular at a pick and pull, I would just opt for a new replacement that is anywhere from $50-$80 for a complete assembly. They usually come with a 1 year warranty or longer when buying new.

The cable is held in place by a cheapy plastic part that will break over time. So getting a used one from a pick and pull, you just don't know how long it will last and will cause you more time to tear down your door a 2nd time to replace it again.
