currenly i have a dodge ram single cab with the 5.9, im buying a 2000 dodge durango with the 5.9, it has 117k ilkes and buying it for 3500. its all stock and maintained by older adults . Ive modded my truck some but getting ready to sell being a single cab and growing family . i know im i wanna swap my fastman and 1.7 hs . my truck has the airgap but i think it would be a serious pita to swap them both . so im selling my truck with the longtube headers and the airgap .

also i will be setting my sct back to stock on my truck and sending it into sean to write tunes for the durango. will i see some decent gains with the sct,fastman,1.7 hs ? i dont plan on modding the durango as much as i did my truck as itsd gonna be my family vehical. but i test drove it it seemed to havwe more get up than my truck !

it was s quite and nice though i liked it and loking forward to being on the durango board !

The rockers and such should give you a nice little boost. Combine that with a good tune, and I think you will like driving it.

 

Don't see why swapping the airgap over would be such a big deal...you already did it once didn't you? Don't forget that those durangos still have the plenum issue as well...seems silly to pull the intake and just do the aluminum plate (and pay for it) when you already have a perfectly good airgap

 

You could sell the air gap to me

Its peppier because it ways a lot less than these bricks we all drive

 

You're not going to be happy with the mpg for sure they don't get much better then the Rams do at least the R/T's don't. Nice ride though.

Looks good! I wish I had bought a Durango instead of the Expedition lol. I would swap everything that you could off of your truck though- especially the air gap. If you don't want the air gap you'd be better off selling it separately and putting the stock manifold back on. I'd swap the wheels too. Seems like most of the time when selling something the buyer wants it stock.

 

One thing I agree on...unless you can find a buyer who is a member of df or another dodge Ram site and knows the common issues, mods dont make a hill of beans to a prospective buyer. Uninformed buyers dont have a clue. I am currently (and have been for awhile) in search of another 2nd gen Ram and you will not believe the responses I get to "Has the plenum been done?" I would gladly pay a little extra to that as well as a trans rebuild. It sucks cause every 318/360, no matter what vehicle I'm interested in from that generation has the same issues...
