engine swap now coil malfunctions
I pulled a engine from a 02 GC and put it into my 02 Durango. both engines are 16 tooth tone wheels on crank. I used everything from my Durango except the jeep long block and fly wheel. it runs great at high rpm but once it drops to 2000rpm starts missing stumbling. I can keep it running with gas pedal until 5 to 6 coil malfunction codes show then shuts off and blows the asd fuse. the codes range from p0351 to p0358. it will throw 5 to 6 at a time and they are always different. I need help. I replaced cam and crank sensors. im stumped.. all wires look good and grounds were put back into place.
Gotta chill dude. We help when we can.
First things first, the 4.7 you pulled from the GC, Power Tech block or Magnum block? Durangos use the Magnum block, GC's use the Power Tech block, and I'm not too sure about interchangeability, but I'm willing to bet they are not interchangeable.
Also, try swapping the injectors and coils out for the ones from the GC.
Short of that, I have no idea, and it may be worth your while to contact "Master Tech" here on the forums and get him it chime in. Just do a search on the username

Next then, how well was the motor running when it was in the GC? Have you checked the condition of the spark plugs?
