That sounds like it might be your issue. Honestly all of the aftermarket ones I've come across are completely $hit, just get the mopar one from the dealer.

Well why don't you take the fan off and see if it warms up to temp (just be sure not to let it overheat without the fan on it). If it does you know what your problem is.

Hopefully. My dad is hopefully bringing up the tool with him to get it off this week. We will see. Does anyone know if a bad coolant temp sensor could be causing issues? Is this the sensor that the gauge reads from?

Yeah I got a normal duty one from napa but the mopar one has the best reliability rating that I've seen. It should shut off within a mile or so when its this cold. I don't see the need for a HD clutch. I've towed in 100 temps with cardboard (long story, I didn't know it was there) and it never went above 215 according to the gauge.

The coolant sensor certainly wouldn't keep the engine from getting up to temp if that's what you're asking.

For some reason I think I checked awhile ago, and you can't get just the fan off without the clutch. And I don't have te stuff to get te clutch off

I got so fed up with trying to deal with the clutches that I just went ahead and replaced the mechanical fan with an electric one with even more air flow for less than the mopar clutch.

No a bad temp sensor will cannot cause the motor to not warm up only give a bad reading. All the coolant is controlled by mechanical devices that respond to the motor/coolant temp directly. You guys type to fast lol, just realized this has been addressed.
