Default Removing deformed grille screw

Hello,

There is a cross slot/phillips screw that holds my grille and I just can't remove it. I tried to take it out with a screwdriver a while ago and all that did was deform the head. Now the screw head is basically a giant hole in the center. Should I apply WD 40 to remove it? Thx in advance

I'd use a dermal with a cutting disc on it to try and make a slot that you could get a flat blade screwdriver in.

an automatic center punch can be used as a small impact wrench. use the sharp point to dig in to the screw with the punch at an angle, can turn the screw. its not fast but if it moves at all you are on your way.
