I had it on my old truck I had before this. It was '93 Silverado 1500 and never had no problem with it. Is there any situation that will have problem with the Durango with straight pipes?

No issues. If you have had it before, you know what to expect. That's all I was getting at

That okay. I was just want to know if there is some kinds of problem I have to watch for if I upgrade the exhaust. That what nice about this forum that everyone give their best options they think or went through.

Straight pipes are dumb.

Lol at the kids who do it and always romp on their ride thinking loud random tones sound good.

Get a nice exhaust that sounds good and make that motor shine. Otherwise you just have a loud nasty fat dude singing a tune.

Do you have the videos on here that I can compare the noise between the straight pipes or other kind of exhaust systems that might sound good on the Durango. I might like different ideas if I have people here in town that have Durango with better exhaust system than original.

I don't have video. My Durango is all stock. I did have flow master 40 series on my 5.0 bronco. Nice deep purr. Seemed to fit. Said not only do I look good but with 334k miles I still sound great.

I'm tossing doing a muffler delete on my fusion. Sounds fantastic for a V6. Which is off.

Point is, all vehicles sound different. Problem with the Durango is there doesn't seem to be much to go off of because most folk tend to follow path so there is a lack of reicew from a large world of product.

Look around on youtube some, you'll find all kinds of videos with different mufflers on the 4.7

As long as you don't mess with the cat, you shouldn't set any codes. Will lose some power though

Yeah, you're definitely better off with some sort of an exhaust system than straight pipes.
