So Flowmaster is a muffler? I am looking it up on youtube right now.

 

Magnaflow, Flowmaster, DynoMax, etc... (there are plenty more that I can't think of at the moment) are all muffler/exhaust companies.

Magnaflows are really nice sounding without being excessively loud inside or out. They seem to be more of a "grown up" muffler, nice sounding when you get on it, but quiets down and stays under the radar when you're cruising. They've also got some of the best flow ratings in the business.

Flowmaster makes all kinds of different sound levels and tones, I've personally never used them and back in the day a lot of people referred to them as blowmasters because they had some of the most restrictive exhausts there were. Not sure if that's still the case anymore.

DynoMax makes different sounding mufflers like Flowmaster does, but from what I hear they have a very good reputation for good flow ratings.

 

I had a 26" Thrush Glasspack on my 4.7 Durango and I loved it! It has an obvious straight flow design, and is very easy to install. Only thing is that the OEM has a 28" (I think) muffler with joints on either end, adding up to around 32" of missing metal. If you go to a muffler shop they will have no problem with any of that, but I did mine on my own. It's nice and angry at idle and when you get on it, she really roars. I would suggest trying to get the muffler as far back as possible though. My glasspack was in the stock location and when anyone was in the back seat it got a bit loud for them.

 

Do anyone had street scene grille inserts on their Durango? I am doing black and patriot blue look on my Durango and I was planning on get a black grille and get the grille inserts and paint it patriot blue.

It's true. I got mine for $150 used from another member parting out his truck.

Street Scene grille is actually of high quality. I'm very impressed with mine. It would look good black if one could get a good base on and clear coat. It's made of stainless steel

 

I just went outside to look at my grille. How can I open the latch if I do get them grille inserts?

 

I've seen some vague shots of a cable run to the bottom of the bumper to open the latch, but have never actually seen any detailed pictures or information on it.

 

it’s connected via a cable. There is already a hole drilled in the latch so you just use the bolt to attach the cable. And I ran my handle down to under the grille brace and grille frame. Otherwise you just use a screw driver and stick it through the grille to push the latch over. It’s all pretty self explanatory once you get the kit.
