I do remember having to replace both my trans cooler lines towards the front of the motor though.

 

GAWR = Gross Axel Weight Rating

I see the vin decoder dose not say which gear ratio yours has, just that the max is 7350lbs. The 7350 is with the 3.92 gears. You need to find that tag or get a build sheet.

 

I do remember when I had to replace my front differential it had a 3.55 in it I'm pretty sure.

 

It really depends on how far you plan on towing to some degree. The truck structurally and braking is capable but the drive train may not be optimal for towing long distances or up hill say in the mountains if you don't have the tow package.

Your vin does show a 6000 to 7000 tow capacity, but I would still try to verify the gears depending on the towing your doing.

 

There is a decal on the axles, generally on the top. If you crawl under the truck you can weasel a peek with a little effort, or possibly see the little metal tag on the diff cover. Sometimes they have the little metal tag and sometimes they dont, I think they get lost when the diffs are serviced.

If you have the HD tow package then you are pre wired for trailer brakes. My harness adaptor was found in the rear cargo bin.

As far as the length of towing, I probably wont be going more than an hour away and most of it is mainly highway, with the exception of pulling the boat up the launch ramp...That's where I'm concerned mainly...I'm really not concerned about the braking because the trailer does have surge brakes on it.
