Unhappy New Member!!! Need Help...

So I bought a 2000 Dodge durango v8 2 wheel drive... It has 109k on it and while driving back from getting it I noticed that its kinda hard to get in to gear on the steering column... Like it will look like its in drive but its in neutral or 2nd... And you have to wiggle it in order to get it into drive... I was thinking maybe the steering column may need to be replaced... But I'm no mechanic... What do y'all think it may be...

Check the bushings in the linkage. They tend to deteriorate, and fall out. Also, the little indicator feller is adjustable.

Welcome to DF! Be sure to check out the 2nd Gen (I think) Durango section.

There's probably an issue with the cable that goes between the shifter and the transmission.
