I installed a Flowmaster Super 10 and some extra pipe (welded in) to make up the difference. I really like the sound, and the drone at cruising speeds is not bad.

For what it is worth, here is what a 4.7L sounds like with a Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler installed (and a little extra pipe welded in).

I personally would stay away from GLASS PACKS and get a real muffler. Now whether you choose Flowmaster or Magnaflow or Borla or whatever is personal preference. There are plenty of videos on YouTube to help you determine if you will like the sound. Don't ask here as it has been hashed out 100s of time already.

Here is a video of a D with a Glass Pack.

Seems more like a "cracking sound" than a "rumble" to me.

I'm sure there are a ton of Rams with the 5.2 or 5.9 on youtube with glasspacks and all kinds of different mufflers that could give you some idea of what they'd sound like.

IMHO, glass packs sound like crap on our trucks... The real question is how many noise ordinances you will be breaking or how many popo you will pi$$ off.. Now days it seems as the police just do as they feel, hell here in PA it is now legal for them to search you car WITHOUT your consent. My advise would be to go with a flowmaster or a magnaflow cat back system.
