Default 2003 durango rear window works down only

The rear passenger window works down only. I bought a regulator window unit and it does exactly the same thing. Tried both drivers switch and rear door switch. Any idea what could be causing it to work down only? Does not make sense to me that both switches went bad at the same time.

It's probably the driver's switch. All the other switches go through the driver's switch.

I would agree too, but I would go a step further. I would test the circuit with a power probe and see if I had an open circuit to the switch.

Thanks for the input. How do I test the circuit? I have a tester, but kind of a novice on accomplishing these type of tests.

I just read that you can clean the switch, as it may be dirty. Is this something to try?

Mine once worked intermittently. I removed the drivers side window switch console and there was a piece of lint across the connection. I pulled the plugs and blew compressed air into the connections and it fixed it.

Does anyone have the pinout? The one in the service book PDF and the ones online are not correct. I do not have pint 4 & 5 on my unit.

This is one I keep finding.

The only wiring diagrams I know of are in the FSMs which there are links to in the DIY/FAQ thread. There is a section of the connector pinouts in there too.

Is the motor working at all when you press button controller to up position? I just replaced my front passenger window regulator because plastic pieces that connect the cable to track were old and broke. After installing new regulator, I noticed window would go down fine but wouldn't go up. I could see the window trying to go up but then stopped half way up.

Repair: The screws that mount the regulator (window track) to door were too tight and wouldn't allow cables to move freely. My guess was from over tightening the track was causing track to get kinked? I loosened the screws and window went all the way up - smooth. After window in up position, I re-tightened the screws down "some". Also, I noticed the motor mounts did its own adjusting while operating the window with screws loose and now working fine.

Mine was an easy fix and kinda stumbled onto the repair. I hope this helps.
