Default No start issue '99 5.2

Hey guys I'm back,
I finished installing the used replacement engine, New spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wires
and new battery.

Everything looks to be hooked up properly, what I have checked so far:

1. checked the coil for spark it has good spark.
2. checked for spark at the #1 cylinder and it had spark.
3. I sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body, nothing, like I hadn't even sprayed it.
4. I checked the timing by rotating the engine to TDC, and checked the rotor and it was
pointing to the #1 wire.
5. no codes at all
6. fuel pressure at the schrader valve is about 50psi
7. checked the ASD relay, by switching it with another one.

So, what is next? could it be some anti-theft mode? something else? what should I try next?

But the TPS would throw a code wouldn't it? and I probably wouldn't have a spark? man I'm hoping it's not the computer.

There wouldn't necessarily be a code for the crank sensor. It could be messed up and telling the computer to fire the plugs at the wrong time. Hard to say though. Have you done a compression test?

I think this gunk that is in the cylinders is clogging up my spark plugs. I think I let this stuff fall in when I cleaned and scraped the crap off the engine, I'm guessing it filled up the heat shield tube for the spark plug with gunk and when I pulled the old plugs the gunk fell in the hole.
I'm an idiot

If that stuff's dry you could try and vacuum it out.

welp. That's what I did, I vaccumed out the gunk, washed out the cylinders with brake cleaner, sprayed a shot of wd40 in there, now she's running like a champ!
now if I could figure out how to open the hood when the cable breaks! (new thread coming up)
