Default Need help bypassing neutral safety switch...

Can anyone tell me how to bypass the safety switch on my 01 durango? last summer had to replace the 2nd gear band anchor and while putting the valve body back in i broke the plastic piece that moves the switch. i had superglued it and it worked fine untill it got cold this week. i'm assuming the glue broke we got almost a foot of snow and i need this truck driving quick. i'm just looking for a temp fix till i find a heater garage to drop the pan again.

Which engine/trans? The FSMs should have the wiring diagrams for the switch. http://www.mediafire.com/?xu9h0gt9bdcn6#myfiles

Here's the diagrams

It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion, but it looks to me like it grounds pin 2 when it's in park or netural, so shorting that pin to ground should make it think it's ok to start.

Ah, yours must be one of the later model 2000s when they started transitioning the electronics over.

does anyone else have a wiring diagram of the starting circuit ? i'm positive my problem is the plastic lever on the valve body that pushes the trs switch. on the dash it shows when you into any gear but park or neutral. from what I've figured out so far the trs is after the starter relay in the circuit as I have ground and power at the relay when the key is turned to start. but really don't want to poke holes in the wiring at the trs with a test light.i just need to get this truck running until after muzzle loader season till i'll have the time to drop the pan again. also does anyone know where to buy just the plastic piece or am I gonna be tearing apart a trans in the junk yard again?

thanks
jason
