Hi, so im totally new to this forum, just got my D about two weeks ago and im absolutely in love. So, i want to replace my rusted 02 tailgate, and i just found a completely rust-free 01 tailgate really cheap, and im wondering if this would fit?

 

It should fit fine.

 

It should be a direct swap. 98-00 & 01-03 were where the difference in terms of interior panels and wiring are different. The tailgates themselves should be the same for all years though.

I was reading that thread a few days ago hoping to find something lol but im supposed to be picking it up later today, and if i find the time im gonna try to mess around with it tomorrow, will definitely update on how it went!
