Default rear view mirror swap

Thinking about installing a temp/compass rear view mirror in my 2002 durango. Has anyone done this and if so what all is involved?

thanks!

Not sure how that would go, they always had the compass/temp display in the ceiling console rather than in the mirror itself. I'd think it would be easier to add the console, and you'd need to install the temp sensor out behind the grill.

If you do the console the wiring for the temp sensor should already be there by the radiator, and 01-03s might have the wires for the console pre run too.

Hardest part installing the OHC and auto dimming mirror was cutting the hole in the headliner on the '02. The SLT had all the plugins for the install already there. There was at least one splice I had to make behind the drivers kick panel. Been a while.
