Default 2003 Durango won't stay on after replacing the battery

My battery died so I purchased a new one but now it turns on for a few seconds before it turns off

be more specific about what you mean by turns on for a few seconds then turns off, does the engine start, run for a few seconds and shut off? does the power come on and drop out when you try to start it? each situation could point to something different, be specific and you will get better ideas.

I would guess that his truck won't stay idle. Will die out. Happened to me when my battery died and replaced with new one. Starts, but won't stay idle, let off the gas and it dies.

Had to reset the PCM to resolve this issue.
