A lot of people do non-functional cosmetic things to vehicles that have a negative effect on safety or performance. I wish there could be tickets from the mod-police. But, I guess you can't fix stupid.

To each his/her own.
I could just leave it all stock, Which is ok. Want to persoalize it a bit to my taste.

I'm all for that, just not in ways that dork with safety (lighting, etc). I do a lot to make mine mine, but think any wheel/tire/lighting changes should be 'form follows function', never 'pretty' first.

Probably not a worry though, as you'll likely never see the other two cars in Montana. Do they have traffic lights there?

Don. Not to take away from the other 2 cars here in Montana; At least I know where they are going.

Yes; We do have 2 stop lights. Nobody pays any attention to them though as we only have 3 cars in town.

I really like my Durango so far. Gas mileage bites, but I knew that going into it. Only paid $600 for it. So will have around $1,000 in the top end. Body is nice and clean (no rust, etc...), interior is clean. I think it was worth the purchase price and the needed repair.Should serve me well.

Not about pretty. It is pretty "Plain Jane". It was a railroad vehicle. They never went for fancy. But they did do all the maintenace and kept it pretty clean.

I have to replace both bumper covers, as they were cut to fit the rail wheels. lol! (true story) I also have to put the hitch back on as it did not come with the car when I bought it. I do have the towing package, 3:92 gears and trans cooler. Not much I am going to have to do in that respect.

So this is turning in to my build thread. Grill and tail light covers painted and ready to install tomorrow. I'll post some pics. New tires today. Heads should be here next week. Time to start tearing her down.

I had the painted tail covers for a while too. I never thought they'd block much light, but my brother told me once, after driving behind me, that it was hard to see the turn signals. I bought some led tail lights (multiple light sources instead of one that can get blocked more easily) but never got around to putting the covers back on since they need repainted (clear coat keeps getting killed by the sun on them).

Noted. I took a good look at them tonight after it got dark. Was thinking perhaps some LEDs. I don't do a lot of night driving. I can always peel them off. I like the look though. A second thought is to paint the design on to the tail light. Just the outline of the Ram logo. ???
