Default steering wheel

hey there I need help figuring out why I still have play in the steering wheel after I just replaced the gear box, steering shaft, ball joints, tie rods, and both pitman/idler arms and just had it aligned also

What did the alignment guy say when you mentioned the excessive play to him?

should be easy to check with a helper and performing a dry park check. if all the components are new...is the play backlash in the new steering box?

most do...I never worked on your model year.

the ones I have done have a lock nut which you loosen, then torque the adjusting nut to a specific torque and reset the lock nut. the steering must be centered in the high point before starting....high point adjustment is what you are setting if you want to google it.

do a dry park check to isolate the play before you do anything. Most new boxes are set up correctly.
