I read where people would splice 2 different hoses, but hadn't looked into it enough to find the parts. Nice to know Summit has them. If this hose doesn't fit I'll look into it. The reason I went with this hose, the 2000+ Durangos and Dakota's have the radiator outlet up near the top of the radiator. The V8 trucks had more complicated molded hoses because there wasn't a lot of room under the hood. The V6 on the other hand had plenty of room. When the lower hose comes around the belt, it's dead straight for a solid 6" or so before it makes it's curve up to the radiator. I can mark where I need it and cut a little long and just trim until it fits well. I also had pre-bent some copper tube to the form that I needed. And the 01 V6 hose was strikingly similar. Still haven't had a chance to put the thing on though. Let me tell ya, moving sucks.

No better. It's all hooked up. Lower radiator hose from an 01 3.9 Dakota. Had to cut to fit. Still overheating. I'm parking it for a while. I appreciate all the input from everyone, but I'm giving up for the time being. If I ever get around to working on it again I might revisit some of my threads. As soon as we get something else for my wife to drive, I'm getting my truck back and cancelling insurance on the Rango.
