2003 dodge durango 4.7
I have a 2003 dodge durango 4.7, 170,200 miles. I have a problem to where when it's in park or stopped at a stop light it idles funny. It doesn't surge or idle erradicatly or anything.,it just shakes very badly almost like there's a miss but it doesmt have one. There's no engine codes and I've replaced plugs coil packs, fuel pump, iac tps and it still has the shake at idle.
Power balance test.
Start the truck, disable the IAC. (just unplug it. it will set a code.) Then, unplug injectors one at a time, and see what happens. A properly functioning injector will give you a noticeable drop in rpm, and the engine will run rough. If nothing seems to change when the injector is unplugged, that is your problematic cylinder. Might be dirty injectors, or any of a host of other possible problems. Could also be a tired/failing O2 sensor. (or, the wrong sensor.....)

Ok I'll give that a try I've replaced all I could possibly replace. I've checked the injectors with a screw driver and they all seem to be working. But I'll unplug one at a time and see what happens, it only occurs at idle no other time.
A generic vaccum tester or vacuum gauge that you can find at any parts store. Many times, they are part of a brake bleeding kit and are usually $10 or so. Sounds like you have low/no vacuum when you are having issues.

well I,picked one up, when im at idle, its bouncing from 9 to 14 when I give it gas it goes, into the green and has proper air then.
You have a large vacuum leak, should be FAR higher at idle. Should also be steady. I'd expect at least 20 at idle. You can get a can of carb cleaner and spray it around (only on a cold engine) the intake and if the idle picks up you found the leak.
Ive tried that and cant seem to find it if there is any. I've redone the intake manifold gaskets. I've checked every vaccum, line with spray and it still seems to have an issue. Is it possible the intake manifold has a crack amongst the bottom that I cant see?
