2001 Durango 4.7L issues
I'm going to have to get a gauge and find out for sure. When I did the injectors, it seemed "fine" but with out hard numbers I'm just guessing. I will have to look up the throttle body cleaning...I did spray some carb cleaner into it and cleaned off the "butterfly" and the IAC (pulled it off and really cleaned it with carb cleaner and elbow grease). I had planned to use the aerosol sea-foam once I got it running better...think that would help or is there a better way of cleaning it??
***Edit*** I found the how to article on properly cleaning the throttle body. I will be doing that tomorrow if the weather holds for me...someone please sacrifice something to the snow/rain/wind gods to postpone the upcoming storm lol
Thanks,
Steve

Yeah, it went from high 40's/low 50's to sub-freezing temps overnight here..... Friend of mine wants me to go with him to do some tree cuttin' on Sunday, think I am going to beg off on that. Too friggin' cold to playin' outside for this old man.
I asked my neighbor if he had a spare child I could sacrifice for you, but, he just looked at me funny, and herded his kids inside. Kinda quickly at that.... not sure what's up there......

Now for the strange results....
I buttoned everything up (or so I thought, more about that in a moment) and went to start her up...to my surprise, it ran better...ok, I'm thinking to myself, we're making progress...at this time there were NO check engine lights nor any pending codes...I got out of the cab to look at the engine and to my surprise, I left off the vacuum line to the throttle body! So I immediately plugged it in while it was running....BOOM no idle, engine actually stalled out...now here is the kicker...Check Engine Light is now ON and wouldn't you know it throwing the P0208 code out of nowhere! So I used the OBDII tool and reset the code and unplugged the TB vacuum line....took it a bit to start but when it caught, it idled, all be it a tad rough....watching the OBDII tool live data, I again plugged the vacuum line in and wham...no idle and CEL P0208 was thrown....If I am correct, the Evap/Purge Solenoid is causing this...why, I'm not sure...more investigation to follow....
Any more suggestions? Still going to check the fuel pressure when I go grab the gauge...
Thanks in advance
Steve
RPM was about 1130 +-, but, it looks like a moot point right now...pulled #8 for a compression test and have 0 psi in it...as was originally suggested, it might be a dropped valve seat...researching that now...My current mantra is "I love my Silver Durango, and my wife loves its heated seats, and its paid for" rinse wash and repeat
current feeling:
