Default ac clutch not engaging

2003 Durango, 4.7 L, SLT, Got tired of no ac in my Durango, so I located the leaks and ordered all of the parts I needed. Compressor with clutch, condenser, accumulator/filter drier, AC lines, expansion valve and all new seals and O-rings. Installed all of the new parts, pulled a vacuum, left my manifold set in place and observed no loss of vacuum. Have checked all of the applicable fuses in the interior panel and the PDC and replaced on 10 amp fuse in the PDC. Charged system in accordance with the MOPAR shop manual. Problem is the clutch will not engage, any ideas before pay somebody 75 bucks an hour to trouble shoot the system ? A little background, the system would cool just fine up until two years ago, it had a bad refrigerant leak and I got tired of feeding it and just stopped using it. This was two summers ago.

Do you get 12v to the plug that goes into the coil?
If not, try jumping out the low and high pressure switches to see if that does the trick

There may also be a freeze switch in the side of the expansion valve on the firewall.
