Default 2004 4.7 Durango issue. We are having a major problem out of our Durango.

Suddenly while driving the vehicle the check engine light will start flashing and dings. Then the engine will start sputtering shortly after we lose all power. We have been told we need to replace the ECM now told the pcm. We have the codes pulled up and 34 codes came up they cleared those codes told us to bring it back when the light came back on which was only .5 mile down the road 19 more codes popped up.

That sure sounds like a failing pcm...... Check engine lite flashing indicates a cylinder (or 8....) is misfiring, that's the sputter you are feeling. That many codes is highly suspicious though...... Any clue what codes you were getting?

yea this, unfortunately, that many codes at once makes me think the PCM is toast as well . . .

Is it possible there is a bad ground somewhere? That's cheaper to check for and try versus a PCM/ECM.
