Default Drain Plug Nut Inside Oil Pan Broken - Fix Recommendation?

Hi all, I have a 5.9 engine on a stand. It didn't have the oem drain plug, after taking the oil pan off, it turns out they had installed some plug fix. I was going to change it because it was leaking slowly. So when I get to the inside of the pan, I see the plug nut, where the oil plugs goes into, just floating at the bottom of the pan. Apparently the original owner or a shop broke the nut off the pan, probably by over tightening.

Does anyon

e know of any plugs I could install to fix the problem? I can't seem to find anything that would screw from the inside with a but to the outside for example.

Can you just clean up the spot where the nut is supposed to be, get a new drain plug (bolt), tighten it down, then weld the nut back to the oil pan?

I just flux welded the nut on the inside and outside, now I have to test my welding work. Doesn't look pretty especially on the outside part. I ground down the weld but I'm unsure if the screw is going to leak oil.

Buy another pan. You have the engine out so it should be an easy swap.

this would be my recommendation too, why waste the time when replacing the pan is such an easy fix for you.
