Default Hard start 5.9

I own a 2001 with the 5.9,currently have 88,xxx miles it has a hard start every day for a while now,I ran into a guy yesterday and he asked me if I ever get hard starts I said that's funny you say that it happens everyday,he said he owned a durango and he installed a high volume oil pump and it fixed it, has anyone put a high volume oil pump to resolve the hard starts?? The hard starts has been bugging me and I can't find the issue.

Oil pump doesn't have anything at all to do with the engine starting.

Does it turn over nice, just not fire? Or does it crank slow?

It shows as a private group, and wants me to log in, which is problematic, as I don't have a facebook account. (nor do I want one......) Upload to Youtube?

The couple clicks when you first turn the key would make me nervous...... (if that is actually the starter motor clicking)

Try cycling the key a couple times on the next cold start. Don't crank it, just let the fuel pump run till it shuts off, do it a couple more times, see if it starts any easier.

That is indeed the starter you're hearing and I've tried several time priming the fuel line by turning the key in the one position, doesn't matter i could prime it by turning the key 4 times then try starting it still has a hard start.

It sure cranks nice once the starter actually starts turning the motor at least.....

How are the plugs/wires/cap/rotor? Getting any codes? Pending codes? What spark plugs are in it?
