Default P0201 with rough idle.

Like many of you fine gentlemen I have a problem. I have a 2001 Durango with 4.7L. I got this P0201 code along with P0202 and replaced the injectors, sparkplugs, TPS, fuel pump and still have rough idle and only 1 code P0201. I noticed the wires were exposed on cylinder 1 wiring harness to the injector so I got new one to replace it tonight. I have good compression and a new battery too. I haven't changed the cam or crank position sensors yet, do you think that's it?

Nope. That code is for the injector circuit. Fix the connector, clear codes, see if it stays gone.

Update: I have replaced the frayed wiring harness to the injector and pulled the same code. I noticed that when I started it I had a backfire through the intake, also it smells like its burning rich. It doesn't want to stay running, any ideas?

I connected a noid light up and it did nothing. I am assuming that I may need a new PCM? Let me know your thoughts.

Check continuity of the wires. If the wires test good, then yep, bad PCM.

I had a very similar problem with mine, also an 01 but has the 360. Ended up being a problem within the computer. I sent mine in and had it rebuilt, I guess there is a chip on the board within that is known for the solder joints coming loose on that can cause all sorts of issues.

Gotta be a wiring problem. Are you getting power to the injector? Bear in mind, the injectors will only get power for about three seconds and initial key on, after that, PCM needs to see the engine turning. (testing at idle would be fine.)

When I tested the power line from the pcm it wasn't grounded or anything. The ground wire on the injector seemed to share the same ground as the ignition coil. I couldn't get a reading any other way. I also get a small spike of voltage on my meter when the car is idling from it as well. Its confusing as to what I did wrong. Aslo I read about this shutoff relay that could go bad that can do this too.
