Default Looking at Upgrading campers

I have a 2003 Durango 4.7 magnum with 3.55 ratio. I am looking at a 2021 trailer with a UVW of 3800lbs. It is rated at GVWR of 5000 lbs. I don't travel with a filled water tank or anything like that. The most will be filled propane tanks and our stuff. I am planning on putting a transmission cooler on and a weight distribution system. Does anyone have any experience with a tow like this? I would appreciate your feedback of your experiences. We would be mostly local weekend trips.

With the 4.7 and 3.55's, I am seeing a max of 4650lbs.... 4400 if its 4x4...... That would leave you with six to eight hundred pounds for your stuff..... That may seem like a lot, but, that weight adds up QUICK.

I have a tow package transmission cooler and lines that I literally just removed if you want it? I have also upgraded front and rear diff to 4.10 and can’t recommend it enough. You should also get the carbon discs and drilled/slotted rotors, maybe even stiffer leaf springs or air ride. All just to be on the safe side.

480-828-8927 if you want the cooler n stuff.
