whoop the 4.7 tcm is not with the pcm. Enlighten me .my trans Mississippi has stopped responding

 

Yes, The powertrain control module (PCM) does also control overdrive on a 44/46RE transmission. The transmission module is partition inside the the PCM body. The RFE transmission does have a controller for the transmission. The NAG1 also had a trans controller for charger and challenger are under the dash. 8speed and 9 speeds are inside the transmissions.

Isn't there a fuse for the OD to check first on these or not ?

 

There is a fuse and a transmission relay in the PDC/IPC box under the hood. But that doesn't control overdrive.
