Default 2003 durango

i put truck in reverse it takes like 10 to 15 seconds for it to recognize that the truck is in reverse before it kicks in all
other gears work ok any ideas

Does it do that every time? Or just first drive of the day? The truck in my sig will do that after it has sat for several hours/overnight. I just put it in neutral for a bit, to allow the torque converter to charge (doesn't happen in park....) and it's all good.

Same for me. If I did not use my truck for a long while meaning a few days. I start up the truck and let it idle for a min or two before putting it in gear and take off.

all the time, tried to stay in neutral to charge converter no change, just started doing this, forgot i posted this so i made a new thread (NEED HELP 2003 DURANGO) a few minutes ago so i have two threads going on the same subject, same vehicle Sorry.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
