Default 2000 Durengo 4.7L - ABS light and red brake warning light comes on

Hi - I have a 2000 Durango with an irritating issue. When coming to a stop, if I gently press the brake pedal, no lights come on the dashboard. If I press the brake pedal firmly (especially at slower speeds), the yellow ABS and red brake lights come on in the dashboard.

I'm thinking it has to be a sensor, such as a speed sensor. Anyone have idea(s) to what's causing this?

Oh, by the way, in the great state of Virginia, the red brake light is cause for rejection during a state inspection.

Thanks - and sorry about the delayed reply.

I have 3 pics attached with the Dodge ABS codes it pulled when I scanned it. From my quick search - this may be the module under the hood being buggy?

Where is the power relay? Think I would address that one first, and see if the other two don't go away.

Looks to be the one under the hood, and it appears as if the module either has to be replaced or sent out for repair.

I wonder if any of the junk yards around here have a younger Durango/Dakota with this ABS module...
