46RE Filter kit with Solenoid, Sensor etc.
I plan to change the fluid and replace the filter on the Transmission and when I was looking up filters etc. I keep seeing these kits with these items included
1x Governor Pressure Solenoid (Borg-Warner Heavy Duty) Upgrade*
1x Governor Pressure Sensor (Transducer) 56028196AD
1x Lock-up & Overdrive Solenoid with Harness 52118500AB
1x Output Speed Sensor (With O-Ring) 4800879
1x 3-4 Accumulator Spring (.126 Upgrade)
is this typical to need to replace these items ( I see a couple are upgraded items) I figure since I have the pan off I might as well change these items as well as adjust the bands.
I just wanted to get your opinions as I am not familiar with the 46RE transmission and the above mentioned items
BTW thanks for all the help so far it is so nice to have a place to get advice as well as correct info/Advice

If your trans still shifts properly, then no, you don't need any of the other stuff. If, however, you ARE having any problems, or seeing codes, then replacing some of 'em might be good start.
Don't forget to adjust the bands while you are in there.

see I knew it was a good Idea to run this past you.
No Issues at all matter of fact the previous owners (the Neighbors who gave the durango to me) let me know in 2010 it had a new transmission installed so it is actually 10 years newer with 150K less miles.
So far I have been impressed with this vehicle not to mention no one can beat that price
Thanks again
